About
Anousha Storm
Hello, my name is Anousha Storm. I am an artist and maker originally from Stroud, Gloucestershire, now based just outside of Falmouth.
I originally taught myself to make jewellery during the Covid lockdowns but I have now recently completed a Jewellery Diploma.
I love being outdoors in nature, and grew up camping, making and exploring. I’m a rock climber, and have been learning to surf. When the waves are big I take photos of the surfers, or bring my sketch book to draw and paint. For me, being outside creates a peace of mind and a clarity of thought.
When I make, time disappears, I listen to music and find the hours slipping away. As a shy child I found solace in art and creativity. My jewellery is a space where I can combine this love of making and the outdoors.
My work is inspired by the shapes and patterns of nature, an abstract response to what I may see in rock pools or clouds, or I create pieces that are a more fun and tangible response to the world around me.
I work using recycled silver and aim to use repurposed beads and stones as much as possible.
I would love to hear from you!
I offer commissions and am always open to discuss designs and ideas. If you are new to making and would like to ask me some questions, I would love to chat.
